Max started his career in broadcasting as a reporter and weekend anchor with WECT, the NBC affiliate in Wilmington, North Carolina.
During his time in the Tar Heel state, Max received numerous accolades from the Associated Press and The Radio-Television-Digital-News-Association, including being nominated for the 2010 North Carolina Reporter of the Year award.
In 2009, Max was the only television reporter from the Wilmington market to cover the Inauguration of President Barack Obama in our Nation’s Capital. He has also conducted one on one interviews with Hillary Clinton and numerous other politicians.
