Calkins Media Inc. is seeking a Research Manager. The position is located in Levittown, PA. In this role, the Research Manager will work with the Research Director in the analysis and dissemination of media research in local media markets. He/She will also perform research studies to help gain insight on local market initiatives.
• Work with Research Director and sales staff to fulfill research
requests, gather information on market trends, competitive
media, and demographic profiles of consumers
• Conduct quantitative primary research to deliver customer
and new product insights in local media markets
• Work with Marketing Assistants in the packaging of research
findings into actionable sales collateral
• Utilize syndicated media research tools like Scarborough,
Media Audit, Borrell, Kantar, and comscore
• Work with Research Director and Web Analytics team in the
dissemination of sales deliverables for digital products
• Follow policies and procedures set by Research Director and
corporate directives
• Participate in company training, of Research and Marketing
tools
Job Requirements:
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to proof
own work, handle simultaneous projects, and meet deadlines
in a fast paced environment.
• Can collect/analyze research information and data.
• Able to assist Research Director in preparing comprehensive
market presentations to internal and external clients.
• Ability to work with each media properties management, and
fulfill their unique data and insight needs.
• Able to demonstrate strong written and oral communication
skills as well as good spelling and grammar skills.
• Must be positive, friendly, willing to take on additional assign
ments and tasks, be able to work with a variety of personal
ities and conduct oneself in a professional manner.
• Experience with Mac or PC platforms; must be proficient in
Microsoft Excel and Power Point, and research analysis soft
ware a plus.
• The ideal candidate must have a visceral distaste for politics
and gossip.
