The second annual Bradenton Blues Festival is coming to Bradenton's River Walk on Saturday. The first festival last year was an overwhelming success.
Their goal was to have 1000 people attend. More than 3800 showed up. A few tickets are left, so if you want to go better get your ticket now.
The first act to take the stage will be Shemekia Copeland. ... followed by many blues bands, playing a wide range of blues styles.
Local award winning Blues Band, Doug Deming and the Jewel Tones will be the "Tween" band, playing between the acts that are performing on the main stage. It's concert seating, so bring a blanket or lawn chair. But no coolers. There will be lots of food, and drink, alcohol and otherwise, for sale at the event.
Parking is free. There are 12 parking lots.
Sunday there will be a Gospel Blues Brunch on Bradenton's Downtown Main Street. The West Coast Black Theatre Troupe will before a Gospel Blues Concert beginning at noon.
