VENICE, Fla. - The annual Venice Holiday Parade on Saturday, November 30th is the traditional start of the Holiday Season here on the Suncoast.

Pre-Parade activities, music, entertainment, food and fun starts at 5:30 and the Parade starts at 7pm.

3,000 people are in the parade and 50,000 spectators are expected. There will be 100 units and the parade will last 2 hours.

A committee from the Italian American Club has restored an old Gondola that was used in the parade from 1962 to 1992. It'll lead off the parade Saturday night, with Santa Claus aboard.

Tip: A really good place to park is Venice High School.


When: Saturday, Nov. 30, 5 p.m. for early entertainment and 7 p.m. for parade.

Where: Along West Venice Avenue and South Nokomis Avenue to Turin Street

What else: Chairs may be placed after 6 p.m. on Nov. 27. No tarps, rope or other items may be placed in city right of ways.
