4/30/13 - MADE Elvis Breakfast Sandwich

Serves 2


4 slices thick cut brioche bread

4oz. creamy peanut butter

4oz. strawberry preserves

8 slices apple-wood smoked Billionaire bacon (recipe follows)

1 Banana (1/4in thick slices)

French toast batter (recipe follows)

Tablespoon unsalted butter

MADE Billionaire Bacon

Dry Rub (Works great for BBQ ribs or chicken to)

1 cup brown sugar

¼ cup kosher salt

Tablespoon cayenne pepper

Tablespoon onion powder

Tablespoon garlic powder

Tablespoon paprika

Tablespoon black pepper

Tablespoon crushed red pepper

Tablespoon dried thyme

Tablespoon dried oregano

Mix all ingredients together

Lightly dust rub over bacon and bake in oven at 375 for 15 minutes or until crispy and delicious

MADE French Toast Batter

1 quart heavy cream

¼ cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Whisk all ingredients

To construct the MADE Elvis breakfast sandwich

Heat your griddle or non-stick skillet to medium high

Spoon the peanut butter and jelly on one side of each pieces of brioche like your making a PB&J sandwich

Put the banana slices on the peanut butter side

Put 4 slices of MADE billionaire bacon in the sandwich and put together

Dip each side of the sandwich into the MADE French toast batter

Add the butter to the griddle or non-stick skillet

Toast each side of the sandwich till GBD (Golden Brown and Delicious)

Cut in half and serve dusted with powdered sugar and a big glass of milk
