Event of the Week - Big happenings at the Van Wezel

Some big name stars are heading for the Van Wezel this weekend.

Ron "Tater Salad" White, Thursday night, "Salute to Vienna" Friday night, a show so good PBS is doing a program on it, the great B.B. King, the King of the Blues  on Saturday night and on Sunday "The Preservation Hall Jazz Band".

  Brochures are now in the mail announcing the rest of the shows this spring at the so called "Purple Cow". And in keeping with it's nickname, the Van Wezel has gotten Booker Middle School Students to paint a statue of a Purple Cow, and it soon arrive at the Van Wezel.

The Van Wezel is also unveiling a new outdoor patio dining area beside the bay, equipped with a fire pit.
