Our country greatly values its veterans and active duty United States Armed Forces personnel and so does Sarasota Jungle Gardens! To show its gratitude, both will be honored at Sarasota Jungle Gardens for a special Veterans Day Weekend celebration, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 11 - 12.
Current and retired military and their family members are eligible for a special “Buy One, Get One Free” admission (free admission must be of equal or lesser value.) Visitors of all ages will enjoy the winding trails through the cool and flourishing tropical botanical gardens in the heart of Sarasota while experiencing the unique opportunity to interact with more than 200 animals and enjoy animal shows and performances.
While some exhibits remain closed due to post-Hurricane Irma reconstruction and other exhibits are undergoing upgrades as well, the flamingos are out, the show birds are eager to perform and the alligators love having an audience. The gardens are located at 3701 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota, FL 34234.
“We are very grateful to all members of the military for their service to our country,” said Sarasota Jungle Gardens Marketing Director Nancy Lavick. “This weekend honors them and their families and the sacrifices they have made and continue to make on our behalf.”
Admission is free for children three and under; $12.99 for children 4-16; $17.99 for adults and $16.99 for seniors 65 and older; taxes are not included. The Gardens are open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and are located at 3701 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota, FL 34234.
