The Long Reunion at Manatee Performing Arts Center

Manatee Performing Arts Center

WORLD PREMIERE production of a new dystopian comedy by Jack Gilhooley. Three 1993 graduates of Manatee High School meet after their 25th reunion at the Manatee Riverview Inn in 2018. Billy, Jimmy, and Daisy are still friends, though their lives have not turned out exactly like the yearbook predicted. Laugh with them as they reminisce, relate their life stories from the last quarter century, and see what changes and what remains the same through the years… literally! The play follows them through their 35th, 45th, 55th, and 65th reunions all the way through 2058, as the rising tides of climate change are about to dump them, the inn, and Bradenton itself into the Manatee River. What else does the future hold for the trio as they progress from mid-life crises into geezerhood? And what about the beautiful young waitress, who never seems to change over the years?
