The Sara Desoto Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, is hosting its 2014 NSDAR Medal of Honor Presentation Dinner on Friday, May 1st at Laurel Oaks Country Club.

The dinner is hosted to honor a local community hero, to acknowledge his or her service to our community and to raise funds to support the organization’s community projects.

The recipient of the 2014 Medal of Honor is local veteran, Col. John Saputo, USMCR who is well deserving of the honor for his patriotism and service to veterans and our community.

The Medal of Honor is the NSDAR’s highest award for citizens who have shown leadership, trustworthiness, patriotism, and service.


Tribute dinner tickets are $50.


The Daughters of the American Revolution has been dedicated to Education, Patriotism, and Historic Preservation in our community for over 89 years. The Chapter is Sarasota’s oldest continuing nonprofit organization in Sarasota County.
