Rick Adams

Rick Adams joined the ABC 7 news team as a reporter in November 2015. He is a New Jersey native who is happy to leave the cold winters behind and now call Florida home. Before coming to ABC 7, Rick worked as a reporter for WTOL, the award-winning CBS-affiliated station in Toledo, Ohio. While in Toledo, one of the many big stories he covered was the Lake Erie toxic algae crisis, which forced hundreds of thousands of people to go without drinking water for several days. Previously, Rick worked as a reporter, anchor, talk show host and producer at television stations in Louisiana, Colorado, Wyoming and New Jersey. Rick is excited to be in Sarasota as part of the ABC 7 news team. Outside of work, Rick enjoys the beach, snorkeling, running (he has completed 25 marathons) and spending quality time with his wife, Julia and the pride and joy of his life, his daughter Schuyler.
