Erika Jackson

Erika Jackson is a Multimedia Journalist at ABC7. She joined the team in 2015 as a Web Producer, and was promoted to a News Producer at the end of that year before moving into her current role. Preparing for her future role as a Multimedia Journalist, Erika worked as a News Intern at WPLG ABC Local 10 in Miami, Nightly News and the Today show at the NBC News Miami bureau, Digital Intern with Clear Channel Philadelphia, and Production Intern with Waskul Entertainment at the National Association of Broadcaster's Show in Las Vegas. Her love for broadcasting began at just 12 years old, reporting as one of Radio Disney Philadelphia's Kid Casters, interviewing Disney musicians and writing movie reviews. She was an active reporter for her high school and college television shows. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Miami with a minor in LGBTQ Studies. When Erika is not telling stories to loyal ABC7 viewers, she is writing for her blog, shopping for bargains, traveling around the country, and spending time with her family in New Jersey. Erika is also an active Cast Member at Walt Disney World and spends her free time "hanging out" with Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
