MAUMELLE, Ark. (AP) — Authorities in suburban Little Rock are investigating a shooting at the home of former professional boxing champion Jermain Taylor.

Pulaski County Sheriff's Lt. Carl Minden says Taylor was at home at the time, but was not injured.

Minden says the shooting was reported shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday at Taylor's home in Maumelle. Minden says Taylor's wife called 911 to report an intruder and that the person who was shot was found at a store several blocks from the home.

Minden said the wounded person's condition was not immediately known and that it wasn't known who fired the shot.

Taylor was the professional middleweight boxing champion in 2005-06.
