JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Jacksonville's tallest building has a new owner. The $88 million sale of the downtown Bank of America Tower to California investors was announced Friday. The 42-story building was completed in 1990 and last sold for $74.7 million in 1999.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — A convoy of Saudi Arabian ambulances may have left some Florida motorists scratching their heads. Ten of the vehicles headed up Interstate 95 through Duval County on Friday, among 200 ambulances purchased by Saudi Red Crescent from Orlando-based Wheeled Coach Enterprises. The vehicles were headed for the Port of Savannah before being shipped east.
BIG PINE KEY, Fla. (AP) — Several hundred divers and snorkelers have submerged in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary for a "concert" beneath the sea broadcast by a local radio station. Saturday's 30th annual Lower Keys Underwater Music Festival at Looe Key Reef features four hours of commercial-free music piped beneath the sea via a series of underwater speakers.
