ORANGE CITY, Fla. (AP) — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has charged a father and son with possession of child pornography. The agency began investigating 52-year-old Daryl Hunter and his 21-year-old son Morgan Hunter after discovering that computers in their home were independently sharing images of child porn.
MIAMI (AP) — Burger King is buying Canadian coffee-and-doughnut chain Tim Hortons for about $11 billion, creating the world's third-largest fast-food company. The corporate headquarters of the new company will be in Canada, a move that may help Burger King lower its taxes. Burger King will still run its business out of Miami.
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A lightning strike from a passing thunderstorm killed a Panama City Beach police dog named Argo. The daughter of the dog's handler, Cpl. Jason Gleason, found the dog behind his kennel Sunday evening.
