FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — The former head of an investment group faces charges in disbarred attorney Scott Rothstein's $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme. Prosecutors say Frank Preve could get five years in prison for wire fraud. His attorney says Preve will reach a deal to plead guilty. Nearly two dozen people have been convicted in the Rothstein case.

FRUITLAND PARK, Fla. (AP) — Two police officers are no longer with the Fruitland Park Police Department after a report tied them to the Ku Klux Klan. The city manager says Deputy Chief David Borst resigned and Officer George Hunnewell was fired last week. He says pending cases from the officers will be reviewed.

LARGO, Fla. (AP) — Police in Largo say a 20-year-old man fatally stabbed his older brother during a fight at home. Investigators say Matthew Cisco and 26-year-old Christopher Cisco were involved in an argument this morning. Matthew Cisco is accused of thrusting a pair of scissors into his brother's chest.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — SpaceX has launched a rocket packed with communication satellites. The Falcon rocket blasted off from Cape Canaveral. The launch had been delayed repeatedly since May for technical and other reasons. SpaceX also is working to ferry space station cargo for NASA.
