BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) — Alex Copeland scored a career-high 25 points and missed just 4 of 13 shots from the field and Yale pulled away in the second half to beat Lehigh 86-77 on Wednesday night.

Blake Reynolds made four free throws in 59 seconds to give Yale a 57-54 lead it never gave back. Copeland went on his own 8-4 run with a pair of 3s and a jumper in a 63-second span for a 65-60 advantage.

Ed Porter had a jumper and Kahron Ross added a 3-pointer and, after a layup by Reynolds, converted a 3-point play to make it 75-all with two minutes left, but Miye Oni answered with a 3, Copeland hit a jumper and Trey Phills made a layup with 29 seconds left and Yale held on from there.

Oni scored 21 points for Yale (6-5) and Reynolds added 17. The Bulldogs have won five of their last seven.

Ross led Lehigh (4-5) with 19 points. James Karnik and Jordan Cohen each scored 14 for the Hawks, who have lost four of their last five.
