SARASOTA, Fla. - A 12 year old Lakeland girl took her own life this week, after her parents say she was subjected to intense bullying by her peers.

The tragedy of this situation makes the work of Savannah Bosch even more important.

In 2011, after losing her friend to an equally tragic scenario, Savannah started the first anti-bullying club in Sarasota County Schools.

She has since started a similar group in Manatee County Schools, aimed at encouraging kids to take a stand against bullying.

ABC 7 Reporter John McQuistion will bring you the story.
