VENICE, FL (WWSB) - A ministry that normally helps those in the Caribbean, is concentrating its efforts on the Suncoast this week following Hurricane Irma.
Ahead of Hurricane Irma, Agape Flights was forced to cancel last weeks aid mission to the Carribean, sending their planes out of the way of the storm to Tennessee.
While they were sheltered away, a church group in Lousiville, Kentucky, decided to fill up Agape's plane with food, clean water kits and other important supplies.
Fort Myers is going to be receiving about half of the donations. The biggest ticket item is a water purification system.
Agape will resume normal operations to the Carribean next week.
