Nancy Ambrose of Holmes Beach

John Potvin of Sarasota

Terry Wells of Parrish

Patti Gallo of  Venice

In making the announcement, Jeff Benninghoff, Vice President/Broadcast, Calkins Media & General Manager, ABC 7, said, “Our honorees personify the spirit of volunteerism and do amazing work for the Suncoast community.  We are delighted to recognize these special individuals and tell their incredible stories.”  Benninghoff added, “We would also like to thank everyone who took the time and effort to tell us about some of these unsung heroes.”

ABC 7 celebrated the 7 Who Care winners at an awards luncheon at Michael’s On East on Monday, July 8th at 11:30am.  In addition, 7 Who Care honorees are being profiled on ABC 7 News at 11:00PM Monday, July 8th – Friday, 12th and Monday, July 15th  - Tuesday, 16th.  Their stories will also be posted here in the 7 Who Care section of MySuncoast.com, along with a photo gallery from the awards luncheon.

The United Way of Sarasota, South Sarasota and Manatee Counties have generously lent their resources and expertise on volunteerism to 7 Who Care.  Benninghoff noted, “The United Way has been instrumental to the success of our program, and we want to acknowledge them for their outstanding support.”
