SARASOTA - A new campaign kicked off Thursday to help boost the local economy. It's called Sarasota Tomorrow.
Businesses, citizens and government are working together on a 5-year plan. Organizers say because of the soft economy, local groups need to join forces now, so Sarasota can thrive in the future.
"We need to find a way to bring better jobs, jobs that pay better. We need to create environmentally-friendly businesses in Sarasota, and that's what this campaign is all about," says Pam Truitt, former president of Sarasota Chamber of Commerce.
The group has started a website that details the project and how you can help. They want your input at www.sarasotatomorrow.org.
