1 cup chocolate chips
3/4 cup whole or skim milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 apple, cut into 1" chunks
1 pint strawberries
1/4 fresh pineapple, cut into 1" chunks
1/2 loaf frozen Sara Lee poundcake, defrosted and cut into 1" chunks
1 cup large marshmallows
Heat 2 cups of water over medium heat in a small sauce pot. Place a medium heat-safe bowl on top of the pot. The bottom of the bowl should reach into the pot - it can touch the water or be right above it.
When the water is boiling, add the chocolate chips and milk. Whisk until melted then whisk in the butter. If the chocolate is too thick, add an additional 1 teaspoon of milk. If the chocolate fondue is too thin, add 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips.
