MANATEE COUNTY - An Oakland Raider has been arrested in Manatee County for domestic battery.

A report from the sheriff's office says 24-year-old Fabian Washington was arrested Tuesday night just before 10:30 p.m. in the 14000 block of Skip Jack Loop in Lakewood Ranch. That's the home he shares with his girlfriend.

A report says an argument between the two turned physical.

Washington told deputies it all started because he was "Hanging out with other girls", but says it didn't get physical.

The victim did have red marks on her neck, saying that Washington grabbed her from behind and backpedaled her away from their baby.

A report said he told her that she wasn't going to take the baby.

Washington bonded out of jail Wednesday afternoon.

The cornerback was a first round draft pick to the Oakland Raiders in 2005. He graduated from Bayshore High School in Manatee County.
