SARASOTA COUNTY - A Sarasota woman has been arrested on charges of animal cruelty.  Sheriff's deputies served out a warrant Thursday at the Pershing Avenue home of Marilyn Houston.

There, deputies say they found a 9-month-old pitbull with its collar chained so tight it was embedded into the dog's flesh.

They say another puppy, only weighing 21 pounds, was attached to 24 pound chain.

Houston says only two of the dogs were hers, the other two belonged to a cousin.
