VENICE - An Aztec twin-engine aircraft with two people onboard made an emergency landing today at Venice Municipal Airport when the pilot was unable to lock the nose gear in place for landing.

There were no injuries and damage was limited to the gear and belly of the aircraft.

The Venice Fire and Police departments were notified in advance and were at the scene during the landing. The Federal Aviation Administration was notified.

The event took place around noon today
