MANATEE COUNTY - Manatee County's Violent Crime Task Force is involved in a pursuit that took them over the Skyway Bridge this weekend.

They were following two males, one only 15-years-old, wanted for multiple warrants.    

Detectives were tipped off that the teenager and 20-year-old Lashay Cooper would be at the Hall Nightclub in Palmetto Friday night.

Shortly after midnight, the two men showed up in a stolen Saab, but when officers tried to stop them, they fled and traveling over the Skyway Bridge into Pinellas County. They even tried to ram a state trooper who got involved in the chase. 

The two men were arrested on I-275.

The teenager faces numerous charges. Cooper was arrested on an outstanding warrant for grand theft auto, and booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
