SARASOTA - On October 28, the Sarasota Police Department along with the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, obtained arrest warrants for 33-year-old Daniel Rangel on three counts of Sexual Battery and two counts of Capital Sexual Battery on a minor. 

The victim, who is presently 14-years-old, was abused over a five-year period.

During this investigation, Detectives learned that Daniel Rangel who was visiting the Sarasota area abruptly left. 

The Sarasota Police Department who are active members with the United States Marshall's Florida Regional Task Force, located Daniel Rangel in Texas at 5:15 pm on October 29.  He is currently in custody in Dallas, Texas. Daniel Rangel was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshall's Dallas-Ft. Worth Apprehension Strike Force.

Daniel Rangel will be extradited back to Sarasota County, Florida to face his charges.
