VENICE, FL - Two North Port seniors are facing sex charges at a local nature preserve, one of them a school crossing guard.
A Sarasota County sheriff's deputy spotted 83-year old Warren MacConnell and 67-year-old George Farraher engaged in sexual activity at the Jelks Preserve off River Road Thursday.
The preserve has gained a reputation as a gay pick-up spot.
Farraher was employed as a part time crossing guard at Cranberry Elementary School in North Port. He has reportedly already quit the job.
They are both charged with Lewd and Lascivious behavior.
