SARASOTA (WWSB) - A Bradenton man is charged with robbing a store clerk in Sarasota at gunpoint on Sunday.
It happened around 4:15pm at Central Snappy on Central Avenue. Police say Ryheme Livingston, 25, walked into the store and pointed a gun at the clerk.
Police say the clerk, who recognized Livingston, at first thought he was joking and told him to stop. But then police say Livingston told the clerk to get on the ground and demanded a bag of cash under the counter.
Livingston was pulled over on Thursday during a traffic stop and taken into custody on a drug charge and for driving on a suspended license.
At the station, following an interview about the robbery, Livingston was additionally charged with robbery with a firearm.
He’s being held in the Sarasota County Jail.
