SARASOTA (WWSB) - Get ready to grab your jacket before you head to work Thursday morning. You are going to need it most of the day. The cold front which swept through on Wednesday will bring a taste of winter to the Suncoast but for only 2 days.
It was a dry cold front which moved through on Wednesday and another dry cold front will move through Sunday night. Winds will stay out of the North on Thursday at 10-15 mph which will not allow the temperature to go much past 60. A small craft advisory is in effect and a rip current advisory is now with us through Thursday evening.
With the winds out of the North at 10-15 mph it will feel more like the upper 30s to start the day on Thursday and the wind chill will also be in the upper 30s on Friday morning. We will start a warming trend by Friday afternoon as temperatures get back into the low 70s.
The weekend is shaping up to be pretty nice as a weak cold front will stall out near the Suncoast on Saturday. This weak front will bring a slight increase in cloudiness and only a 10% chance for a shower or two.
A stronger cold front will slide through late Sunday bringing temperatures back down below average to start the work week.
