SARASOTA, Fl (WWSB) -The low deck of clouds over the state has been backed up with light rains off and on throughout the day and will continue through the overnight period.
Over the past 24 hour period some areas have seen close to 2 inches of rain and with the passing of the cold front we now have High Surf Advisories, Rip Currents and Small Craft Advisories along the coast. For the rest of tonight expect those nuisance rains to come and go.
We will still see a chance of showers through the morning on Sunday and then skies will clear, the winds will switch and come in out of the North and drier air moves into the region, Dewpoints will drop.
Temperatures will stay seasonal but we could get a little cooler at the beginning of the week. Towards the end of the week, another cold front will arrive and that one will usher in some cooler temperatures and the possiblility of thunderstorms, once again.
