St. Petersburg woman claims $1M in Florida Lottery

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (WWSB) - A 29-year-old woman from St. Petersburg has claimed a $1 million prize playing a holiday bonus scratch-off game.

According to the Florida Lottery Headquarters, Monica Veal chose to receive a one-time lump sum payment of $710,000.00.

Veal purchased her winning ticket from Publix, located at 1700 34th Street North in St. Petersburg. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
