SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) - Life is changing. How we buy our clothes is changing.
Used to be, if we needed something new or classy, we'd head to the mall or our favorite store.
Now we're just as likely to head to internet, or try something else new that's a sign of the times, a mobile boutique.
Vicki Rollo, owner of Hearts Desire Mobile Fashion Boutique and Shopping Experiences says, "I have a mobile fashion boutique. I specialize in wearable art fashion shows and pop-up boutiques for nonprofit organizations, country clubs and women's organizations. The fashion show provides entertainment during fundraisers and "Hearts Desire" donates a portion of proceeds from the pop-up boutique back to the organization."
Vicki is an artist and her boutique features "wearable art". She says, "I am a graduate of Ringling College and owned a gallery/boutique in the Village of the Arts in Bradenton for over a decade. Being involved in an arts community, I made it my goal to find clothing that was unique and affordable and artistic in design. I sold the property last year, but wanted to continue the mobile boutique part of the business."
She also features jewelry made of semi precious stones that she designs herself.
Vicki has a fashion show and pop up boutique coming up.
It's the Wow! Woman Expo, benefiting the Shriners on November 3rd at the Sarasota Events Center, formerly the Shriners Building on North Beneva Road.
